Heartwarming Reunion of Or Avner Alumni in Israel

Yesterday in Kfar Chabad, a special reunion took place of graduates of our Mogilev school "Or Avner" who now live in Israel.

Together we visited the famous 770 House — an exact replica of the Lubavitcher Rebbe's building in New York. We prayed for the success of the Jewish people, for the prosperity of the Mogilev community, and for peace and safety throughout the world.

We talked, reminisced about our school years, our beloved teachers, the legendary principal Ilya Lazarevich, and the wonderful times that have united us forever ✨

The reunion was organized in just two days! Because of such short notice, we unfortunately could not invite everyone. We hope that next time we will be able to prepare in advance, invite each and every one, and gather in an even wider circle.

Special thanks to Pasha and Rimma Khanin for their extraordinary contribution to organizing this reunion 🌻

Can one fulfill the command "Lech Lecha" without leaving Mogilev?

🕊 In the weekly Torah portion "Lech Lecha", G-d commands Abraham to leave his native land and go to the Land of Israel.

But Chassidus reveals in these words a deeper meaning that applies to each of us, no matter where we are, in the Land of Israel or in Mogilev.

This Shabbat, together with part of our family, we are in the Holy Land, Israel. And it is from here that we want to share an important thought with you.

Shabbat services at the synagogue will take place, with G-d's help, as usual!

We look forward to seeing you at the synagogue:

Today at 18:00: Kabbalat Shabbat prayers.

Tomorrow at 10:00: morning prayers.

Shabbat Shalom! 🕯️✨

Drawing strength and inspiration together!

🌿 This week the annual convention of Chabad emissaries' wives (Shluchot) from Russia and Belarus took place in Krasnodar.

Together with their daughters they gathered from many cities to spend a few days in an atmosphere of unity, spiritual growth, warm connection and joy.

Rebbetzin Rivka represented our Mogilev at the convention. ❤️

Such gatherings are a chance to share experience, be inspired, feel each other's support, and continue with new strength our important mission: helping people, strengthening Jewish communities and bringing the light of Torah into every Jewish home.

May G-d bless all the Shluchot and their families with success in this important work!

Ashreinu! What happiness to be part of this big Jewish family! ✨

An autumn Sunday at our center

🍂 The day before yesterday we had a very full and warm day!

As every Sunday, children came to us for classes in our educational programs. It was a joy to see their smiles and curiosity again 📚

We also hosted guests from Israel and Minsk, and in the afternoon a group on a walking tour of Jewish sites in Mogilev stopped by.

Days like this are especially uplifting. Our center is a place where people, generations and traditions meet, where there is always a chance to talk and feel part of Jewish life 🌿

Autumn is no reason to stay home! Come to our Jewish center, we are always happy to welcome guests and new friends!

October 19: a tragic date in the history of Jewish Mogilev

🕯 Today marks 85 years since one of the most tragic pages in the history of our city's Jewish community.

On October 19, 1941, the Nazis and their collaborators murdered 3,726 Jews, prisoners of the Mogilev ghetto. Among the victims were men, women, the elderly and children. In those October days most of Mogilev's Jewish population was destroyed.

They were our fellow townspeople. Each had a family, hopes and dreams. All of it was cruelly cut short.

85 years have passed, but we remember. Our duty is to pass this memory on to the next generations, so that such a thing never happens again.

May their memory be a blessing 🕯

When we go on living today, when the Jewish community of Mogilev flourishes, that itself is the memory of those who perished and the victory over Nazism.
